Have you heard the news? Sale-A-Bration is coming next month! If you like FREE Stampin’ Up! product then you are sure to love what Sale-A-Bration has in store. (Hint: If you don’t want to wait for January 3rd to roll around then read on to see how you can get these FREE stamps now!) Party Pandas is sure to be a hit during Sale-A-Bration. I have used my favorite image from the set to play along with the Global Design project this week, and here is my card for the challenge:

And here is the banner that inspired my card:

To be in line with the inspiration piece I kept my card as simple as possible. I debated whether to add a shadow under the cute panda but went with the “less is more” concept. To help make this a Christmas Card I turned the envelope into a present. I saw a card where another demonstrator used the little bow from Santa’s Sleigh in place of the heart on the envelope, but in my mind I saw a poinsettia and colored it that way. I used our new Stampin’ Blends to color the present and add a bit of shadow to the body of the panda. If you have been wanting to try alcohol markers I think you would be really happy with the Blends. They are super easy to use and color with.

To finish off the card I used small strips of paper from the Merry Little Christmas DSP pack and a sentiment from Cookie Cutter Christmas. I wanted a specific portion of the paper to be showing on each side of the main panel so I cut a small strip and then cut that strip down to 5 1/2″ two times. This ensures I get the same width on each side and saves paper.

I couldn’t stop with just one card so I made a set of Thank You cards using the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper. This is another item that can only be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration! I used the color combo of Bermuda Bay, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist for this fun set of cards. The sentiment I used is from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set in the Annual Catalog. These will be customer thank you cards for December. Aren’t they cute?

TIP: Use a Stamp Placement Tool and stamp each panda two times to get a nice black image.

I have a quick tip on stamping the pandas in this set. The first time I tried stamping with any of the panda images I could not get a solid black image. No matter how much ink I had on the stamp, or how hard I pressed, the image was spotty. So I did something I have never done before. I pulled out the Stamp Placement Tool I got for myself last year, and only then was I able to get a nice solid image by stamping two times! I was mainly having trouble in the body of the pandas so I was careful not to ink up the eyes again. Even though it is supposed to stamp in the same position the second time, if any extra ink bleeds over the slightest bit, the definition in the eyes might be lost.

Did you know Stampin’ Up! has a new Stamp Placement Tool coming soon? You can RESERVE The Stamparatus by clicking through to my online store. You will need to set up an account before making the reservation. These will be shipped out in the order the reservations are received (based on available quantities) starting March 19th, 2018. Therefore, the sooner you make your reservation, the sooner you will get the best Stamp Placement Tool on the market!

And finally, one more card using the Party Pandas stamp set and Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper. I can’t get enough of this combination! Here I added a second image from the stamp set, carefully placing him on top of the bottom panda using my Stamp Placement Tool. I used the Stampin’ Blends more on this card, coloring all around the pandas to create a little scene. Our iridescent sequins add just the right finishing touch to this fun card.
